We respect your privacy and strive to protect it through this Privacy Policy. Please read this policy carefully. By using this website you agree to be bound by and abide by the Privacy Policy set forth below. If you do not wish to agree to the Privacy Policy, you must not access or use the website.

Do we disclose the information we collect to outside parties?

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information unless we provide you with advance notice, except as described below. The term “outside parties” does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others’ rights, property, or safety.

How do we collect information?

Cookies

Our site uses cookies. A cookie is a small file that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your Web browser (if you allow) that enables the systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information. For instance, we use cookies to help us compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools in the future.

We may contract with third-party service providers to assist us in better understanding our site visitors. These service providers are not permitted to use the information collected on our behalf except to help us conduct and improve our business.

You can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off all cookies. You do this through your browser (like Safari, Chrome or Edge) settings. Each browser is a little different, so look at your browser Help menu to learn the correct way to modify your cookies. If you turn cookies off, you won’t have access to many features that make your site experience more efficient and some of our services will not function properly.

Contact forms

When you use a contact form to reach us, we collect your name, email address and any other information you choose to share so that we can respond to your communication.

What about third parties?

In an attempt to provide you with relevant information, we may include third party links on our site. These linked sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these linked sites (including if a specific link does not work).

We sometimes use third party websites for added functionality. Their privacy policies are in effect when you use their site. We use the following services for the purposes listed:

  • Square handles our online sales and bookings.
  • Groups.io houses our membership mailing lists and complementary tools.
  • Our virtual meetings are hosted on Zoom.us.
  • From time to time, we use Google Forms to collect information. Such purposes include gathering information for our membership directory, submitting work to our virtual quilt show, and other Guild activities.

How can you opt-out, remove or modify information you have provided to us?

To modify your e-mail subscriptions, access your personal profile with groups.io or Square. Choose Discussions or Store from the menu to visit those sites. You may also select “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email you receive. Doing so will mean you will no longer receive information, including Zoom links, about Guild activities and events.
