Biography of Albert Cote

Al was born in Niagara Falls. He graduated from Brock University with a BA in Visual Arts and a BA in Education. Besides having a successful career as a visual artist he also owned and operated a very successful hair salon for almost 38 years.
After his wife Debbie retire from teaching Al also retired and they opened a quilt store which they operated for 11years.
Al switched from paint to fabric and ﬁber and never looked back. His large commissions are prevalent throughout the Niagara area. He teaches his very innovative classes in his studio as well as throughout Ontario. He taught at Quilt Canada in 2014 and has had ﬁber pieces in many juried shows.
He is part of the Colori Divini ﬁber arts festival in VERONA Italy this May. Al has two sons and twin granddaughters and a one grandson.
